Finding The Light
Like many, I’ve had some incredibly challenging experiences. Situations that create a myriad of emotions, that confront, induce fear, anger, anxiety and immense sadness. In those moments, it seems the so called ‘negative’ feelings, will last an eternity. They weigh down like a lead laden truck, crushing and pushing us to our limits.
We often have an urgency to eliminate those strong feelings, determined to make way for the good, the happy, the easier outcomes... a levelling out. We feel a deservedness and require resolution, but what does that mean?
We all know and understand that life is a series of ups and downs, sometimes gently nudging us out of comfort to the next step of the upgrade ladder. Other times, metaphorically and physically shaking us to the core, where we can barely stand. But when we have the ability to hold still, stand back and observe, we notice that there is opportunity to really feel, to love more deeply and absorb the beauty of it all.
My resounding life changing experience centred around my family. I watched them hurt, temporarily fall apart, as a result of someone else’s actions, something out of my control.
Initially feeling helpless, something began to gradually rise within me and over time, a knowing, that everything would be alright.
My role was to support, guide, gently and vehemently love. As the months grew to years, with this particular experience escalating and evolving, I witnessed a power within each of my affected loved ones and within myself, all of us rising, like phoenixes from the flames.
I let go. I felt the release.
Destiny, with her tender hands, took over and set me free.
What I gleaned, was that each of us took our own unique steps into what was always set out for us.
The trust was renewed and the evolution began.
I truly believe our specific and distinct paths are mapped out for us. If we flow with the waves, the tides will bring us home, back to ourselves with the full knowledge we did our best.
That is enough.
