Being Led Up The Garden Path
You might’ve seen there was an election recently, one they say will change the course of our earth forever. For the positive or negative that is yet to be seen.
Putting this election aside for a moment, the big issue for me has always been the type of leaders (s)elected. Those who take the reins of power are invariably from very privileged upbringings, went to similar elitist schools and mix in the same rich circles.
Being raised like the above seems to be a very unique set of circumstances for our world, circumstances that are definitely not a representation of us, the people. As a working class lad with thick London accent, whose been alive since the 80’s, I’m yet to hear a single politician in forty years who sounds like me. They all seem to be carbon copies of one another.
Leadership qualities are found within all people wherever they might come from and yet, we end up with the same old faces, same voices, from the same places.
The issue is we accept it and keep on accepting it, until now it’s considered normal, that those with no real world experience are fit to tell us how we should live. We, the people, have such a low opinion of ourselves, we roll over and consent to those who have no idea about the real world to lead us. And they do so from their ivory towers, dripping in bureaucracy, serving their old school friends in big business instead of working for us the people.
The show rolls on, the rich get richer, the poor get poorer and the state is taking more control over our everyday lives and no one seems to bat an eyelid.
The answer lies deep within the essence of our own being.
Our moral compass and divine guide of self-governance, rich in natural law, is the ONLY leadership we ever need.
Take that into our local communities, and join forces with those who are also guided by natural law, and before long we have a local governance serving the community and not those hundreds, if not thousands of miles away, making decisions for the lives of people they’ve never met and even less understand.
A world run for the people, by the people sounds like a world I’d like to be a part of.
The question is, what are we waiting for?
